Terms of Service
Effective October 20, 2026 · StandHopper, Inc.
The agreement between you and StandHopper, Inc. for using StandHopper as a guest, a host, or both.
1. What we are
StandHopper is an online marketplace that lets landowners and other people with hunting rights ("hosts") offer time-limited hunting access to their land, stands, and blinds, and lets hunters ("guests") book that access. StandHopper, Inc. ("StandHopper", "we", "us") operates the website, apps, and related services (the "Services").
StandHopper is not a landowner, outfitter, guide, or hunting club. We do not own, control, inspect, or manage any listed property, stand, or blind, and we are not a party to the access agreement between a host and a guest. Hosts are solely responsible for their listings and properties; guests are solely responsible for their own conduct and hunting.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. Minors may hunt on a booking only when accompanied and supervised by the adult guest who made the booking and as allowed by state law.
Give accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your sign-in methods secure and tell us right away about unauthorized use. One person per account; do not share or transfer accounts.
We may ask you to verify your identity, phone number, payout details, or right to list land, and we may limit or refuse service if you do not.
3. Bookings
A booking is a limited, revocable license from the host to enter and hunt the listed land for the dates, times, party size, and purposes in the booking, subject to the listing's rules and these Terms. It is not a lease of real property and gives no ownership or exclusive possession beyond what the listing states.
When you book, you agree to pay the total shown, including the service fee and any taxes, and to follow the host's rules, harvest limits, and the Guest Terms. Prices can change with the season, demand, and the date; the price you confirm is the price you pay.
Every guest must hold all licenses, tags, permits, stamps, and hunter-education credentials required by the state for the species and method they hunt, and must sign the release of liability and assumption of risk presented at booking.
4. Payments, fees, and taxes
StandHopper collects payments on behalf of hosts through third-party payment processors and pays hosts after the booking begins, minus the host fee. Guests pay a service fee shown before they confirm. Fees are non-refundable except as stated in the Cancellation Policy.
Hosts are responsible for determining and paying any taxes on their income and for any lodging, recreation, or sales taxes their jurisdiction applies to paid access, unless we tell you we collect and remit a specific tax.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds follow the StandHopper Cancellation Policy in effect when the booking was made. Full refund up to 7 days before your first day. 50% refund 2–6 days before. No refund within 48 hours. Season and annual leases follow the lease terms in that policy and the lease agreement signed at checkout.
5a. Memberships
Paid memberships (such as Hunter Pro) renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the price shown when you subscribed, and are charged to the payment method on file until you cancel. We will tell you in advance before a price change applies to your membership.
You can cancel anytime from your Account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then. Except where the law requires otherwise, we don't give refunds or credits for partial periods.
Membership features such as hunt scores, forecasts, and alerts are estimates to help you plan. They are not guarantees of game, weather, or success, and they don't change the cancellation policy for bookings.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, descriptions, reviews, and messages you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, adapt, and distribute that content to operate and promote the Services.
Only post content you have the right to post. Reviews must reflect a real experience and must not be paid for or coerced. We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.
7. Prohibited conduct
Do not: list land you do not have the right to rent; misrepresent a property, its boundaries, or game; trespass beyond a listing's lines; hunt in violation of any law; take payment outside the Services for a booking found on the Services; harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone; post false or misleading reviews; scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the Services; or use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
8. Assumption of risk and release
Hunting and being on rural land are inherently dangerous. Risks include falls from tree stands and ladders, firearm and archery accidents, getting lost, drowning, hypothermia and heat injury, vehicle accidents, attacks or disease from wildlife, insects and plants, uneven terrain, and the acts of other people. You voluntarily assume all of these risks for yourself and anyone in your party.
To the fullest extent the law allows, you release StandHopper and its officers, employees, and agents from all claims arising from your use of any listed property or your participation in any hunt. This release does not apply to claims caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or where a release is not permitted by law.
9. Information we show is not a guarantee
Property lines, stand locations, food plots, maps, and acreage come from hosts and third-party map data and are approximate. They are not a survey. Always confirm boundaries with the host and stay well inside them.
Hunting forecasts, activity scores, rut-phase estimates, legal-light times, weather, moon data, and price suggestions are informational estimates based on models and third-party data. They are not predictions of success, are not legal shooting hours for any state, and may be wrong. Check your state's regulations. Photos of game and trail-camera images do not guarantee that any animal will be present.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICES AND ALL LISTINGS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ABOUT THE CONDITION, SAFETY, LEGALITY, OR QUALITY OF ANY LISTING, STAND, BLIND, OR HUNT.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STANDHOPPER, INC. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM ANY LISTING, HUNT, OR INTERACTION WITH ANOTHER USER. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify StandHopper against claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your listing, your hunt or your party's conduct, your content, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
13. Disputes
Please contact support@standhopper.com first; most problems are solved quickly. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
[Counsel to decide: individual binding arbitration with a class-action waiver and small-claims carve-out, or courts in a named county. Leave this placeholder until reviewed.]
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access, remove listings, or cancel bookings if you break these Terms, create risk for others, or we are required to by law. You may delete your account at any time from your account page; some records are kept as required by law or to resolve disputes.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. When we make material changes we will ask you to accept the new version before you book or list again. The date at the top shows the current version.
