Host Terms
Effective October 20, 2026 · StandHopper, Inc.
Extra terms for anyone who lists land, a stand, or a blind.
Your right to list
You may list only land on which you have the legal right to grant hunting access for the dates you offer: as the owner of record; as a leaseholder whose written lease allows subleasing or sublicensing hunting rights; or as a manager with the owner's written permission. You must not list land under a lease or agreement that prohibits it.
You must complete StandHopper's right-to-list review, keep your proof current, and tell us right away if your rights change. We may ask for more proof at any time and may remove a listing whose rights we cannot confirm. Listing land you do not control can be trespass, fraud, and a crime; we cooperate with landowners and law enforcement.
Accurate listings
Keep property lines, stands, parking, access routes, photos, trail-camera images, harvest rules, and availability accurate. Disclose known hazards (unsafe stands, open wells, livestock, neighbors hunting along a line, gated roads) in your listing or before arrival.
Safety
Inspect stands, ladders, straps, and steps before each season and before each booking period, and replace anything worn. Follow the Treestand Manufacturers Association guidance and the manufacturer's instructions. Do not let guests use a stand you know or should know is unsafe.
Laws, licenses, and insurance
You are responsible for complying with every law that applies to offering paid hunting access, including state hunting-lease licenses (for example, Texas requires one), outfitter or guide licensing if you provide services beyond access, zoning, and tax rules.
Many states' recreational-use statutes limit a landowner's liability only when access is free. Charging for access may remove that protection. Carry liability insurance that covers paid hunting access before your first booking, and keep it in force while your listing is active.
One party at a time
When a booking is confirmed, the guest's party is the only party you allow to hunt the booked area for those dates and times. Do not double-book with people outside the Services, and do not hunt the booked area yourself during a booking unless the listing clearly says so.
Pricing, payouts, and cancellations
You set your base price and pricing rules; seasonal and demand adjustments follow the settings you choose. Payouts are sent after the booking begins, minus the host fee. If you cancel a confirmed booking the guest receives a full refund, and we may charge a cancellation fee, block dates, or remove the listing.
Fair treatment
Follow the Nondiscrimination Policy. You may set rules based on safety and the law (licenses, age, hunter education, party size, weapons), not on who a guest is.
