Booking a hunt
What exactly am I booking?
Time on someone's land: a single morning or evening sit, one or more full days, or a week. Your party is the only one booked on that stand, blind, or property for those dates.
Why do prices change by date?
Hosts set a base price and the calendar adjusts it: early season is cheapest, the rut, gun openers, and peak migration cost the most, weekends a bit more, and open dates within two days are discounted. Hover any day on the listing's calendar to see why it costs what it does.
What do I need before I go?
A valid hunting license and every tag, stamp, and hunter-education credential your state requires, a full-body safety harness for tree stands, and blaze orange where required. You'll sign a release at checkout. See Guest Terms.
Where do I park and how do I get to the stand?
Parking, the walk-in route, and driving directions appear on your trip page once you're booked. Hosts send gate codes in messages.
Are the forecasts and scores guarantees?
No. Activity scores, best sits, and rut phases are estimates from weather and models (the HuntForecaster engine). They help you pick days and stands but can't promise deer.
Cancellations and refunds
What's the cancellation policy?
Full refund up to 7 days before your first day. 50% refund 2–6 days before. No refund within 48 hours. Full policy.
What if the property isn't as described?
Report it within 24 hours of arriving with photos. If the stand is missing or unsafe, the location is wrong, or the lines were misrepresented, you get a full refund.
What about weather?
Weather isn't a reason for a refund, but many hosts will reschedule. Message your host.
Hosting
Who can list land?
Owners, leaseholders whose lease allows subleasing hunting rights, and managers with the owner's written permission. Every listing goes through a right-to-list review before it's visible.
How does verification work?
You upload proof (tax bill, deed, lease, or a signed permission letter), confirm a few commitments, and we review it. You can add a "Verified on site" badge from your phone while standing on the land. How we verify.
How should I price?
The pricing assistant suggests a base day rate from your type of setup, acreage, stands, food plots, and bucks on camera, and shows the local rut dates. The calendar raises prices for the rut automatically.
Do I need insurance?
Yes. Many states only limit a landowner's liability when access is free; charging can remove that protection. Carry liability insurance that covers paid hunting access.
When do I get paid?
After the booking begins, minus the 3% host fee.
